The NJ Financial Consultancy Team
Originally founded by Nick, with Daniel joining later, our story goes back much further than the business itself. In fact, all the way to primary school, where Daniel’s mum once taught Nick. That long-standing friendship has grown into a partnership built on trust, shared values and a genuine belief in doing things the right way.
Today, we’re proud to have built a loyal, organically grown client base through personal service, honest advice and a commitment to achieving the right outcome for every client we work with.

Nicholas Forbes
Nick is the Founder of NJ Financial Consultancy and our dedicated protection adviser. With many years of experience across finance, insurance and protection, he takes the time to understand what’s important to each client before recommending anything.
His approach is straightforward and personal, making sure clients understand their options and have the right protection in place for themselves and their families. Whether it’s life insurance, income protection or critical illness cover, Nick’s focus is on providing honest advice and helping clients feel confident about their financial future.
Away from work, family is at the heart of Nick’s life. He loves spending time with his family, making the most of weekends together and enjoying a good balance between work and family life.
Daniel HIRSCH
Daniel is our dedicated mortgage broker with nearly 10 years’ experience in the industry. He genuinely enjoys getting to know his clients, understanding their circumstances and finding a solution that works for them, rather than simply chasing the lowest rate.
Whether it’s a first home, a move, a remortgage or a more complex situation, Daniel keeps things clear and straightforward, guiding clients from start to finish. His approach is simple: honest advice, personal service and always doing what’s right for the client.
Away from work, family means everything to Daniel. He loves spending time together, making memories and travelling and exploring new places whenever possible.
He’s also a big fan of keeping active, with football, boxing, golf and padel among his favourite sports — and he’ll admit he enjoys the competitive side just as much as the exercise!

Our fees
We will not charge you a fee for most standard mortgages; however, we will be paid a commission from the lender.
For complex mortgages and short-term lending, you may be charged a fee of up to 1%, depending on the complexity of the case. For example, if your mortgage was £250,000 the maximum fee you would pay would be £2,000.
You will receive an illustration when considering a particular mortgage, which detail the full remuneration and all fees payable by you.
We will not charge you a fee for our services relating to insurance. We will receive commission from the product provider. The commission will be calculated as a proportion of the premiums paid for the insurance product. You will receive a quotation which will tell you about the fees and charges relating to any particular insurance policy that we recommend.
